I offer a massage therapy service, combining active & passive recovery for you.


Services include:

  • postural & movement assessment - including exercise prescription

  • injury rehab & prehab - including exercise prescription

  • Facilitated stretching, for mobility and flexibility

are available under the same session times & prices.


The mobile service is available Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 4pm, and will service SOUTHEND-ON-SEA, including Shoeburyness, Thorpe Bay, Westcliff-on-sea, Chalkwell and Leigh-on-sea.

The mobile service will incur an additioanl charge to cover my time & travelling.

Massage therapy is a fantastic compliment to physical activity, for recovery from hard training sessions or just the accumulation of tension over time, or just a welcomed treat when you need a little extra relaxation.

It can also be a valuable tool in rehabilitation, addressing pain & dysfunction from injuries, repetitive strains, overuse, postural issues or imbalances.

The type of therapy I offer is either one of, or a combination of the following:

The first block of therapy is used for:

This is usually performed using a traditional massage table, using Swedish & Deep tissue techniques, with base & essential oils applied directly to the skin. This can be a very relaxing and theraputic massage.


The second block of therapy  is used for:

These treatments involve more rigorous manipulation of the body -

Think of it as a serious mobility session, but with the practitioner moving you through the mobilising positions.

You can just relax and allow all the hard work to be done for you!

I apply the "first do no harm" principal: Your massage should leave you feeling better, not worse.

Massages that use oils are an appropriate base oil (taking into account allergies, sensitivities & preferences), with or without a blend of essential aromatherapy oils tailored to your requirements. The added use of essential oils is recommended for the amazing benefits they can have, but is entirely optional. There is no added cost for the essential oils.

Massage therapy is provided by Alex Kay. You are welcome to discuss your needs, concerns and any other details with him at any time.

30 minute treatment- suitable for:

Site-specific work, such as an aching shoulder, a neck full of tension, a pulled hamstring, or maybe just an area that needs help recovering from a heavy workout, like your back, your legs, or your shoulders. 30min is also perfect for realignments or adjustments when they are localised to a specific area.

60 minute treatment- suitable for:

Working more than one area or issue, such as neck & shoulders, or maybe back and legs, or total posterior chain muscles. 60min is also perfect for a combination of treatments: such as Thai & Shiatsu to relign and stretch out, then Swedish Aromatherapy to relax & unwind. You may choose 60min to provide time for massage therapy as well as exercise & self care prescriptions - better management techniques going forward to minimise future aches & pains!

Your very first session of therapy will likely be longer than what you have purchased.

This is completely free-of-charge and is to allow for an initial discussion and assessment, and the creation of a client file specifically for you.
