Yoga Athlete - About Me

I am a guide -  here to help you on a journey to improved health, pain-free movement, and an incredibly versatile capability - including Mobility, Stability, Strength, Power, Endurance and Flow.


I coach skills, and I teach concepts - my goal is to get you to move better, without pain, and to understand the whys & hows - exercising perfect control over your body & your mind. Anyone can benefit from better movement and higher understanding; it doesn't matter what your starting point is, or what difficulties you may have - absolutely anyone and everyone can improve on their current circumstances - Imagine what you could accomplish with a higher level of coaching.


I began my movement training with martial arts at a young age; starting with Judo, but going on to include Karate, Capoeira, Kickboxing, Tang Soo Do, Taekwondo, Kung Fu, Tai Chi Chuan, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and eventually Mixed Martial Arts. Since then I have been a Strongman, a Dancer, a Kettlebell lifter, a Yogi, a Gymnast, an Unconventional Athlete... until I eventually realised the common ground: everything is movement. And so, my perspective shifted.


I sought out to learn all I could about movement patterns, how the body worked, and how higher concepts and principles can be applied to any modality - from Strongman to Yoga, from Bodybuilding to Ballet.

In addition, I have studied how to help people alleviate stress & pain through massage, realignment, and physical therapies. This is extremely important as we all suffer from time to time, and when we do it becomes the most important issue to resolve - I can help you.


This is my focus - to teach people how to move better, without pain; not only how to apply that to your chosen area of physicality, but also to break free, broaden your knowledge and understanding of movement as well as self-care, this is the underlying thread that connects all training systems and our overall health.

Yoga Athlete - About My Services

I offer on-demand video sessions in 3 main categories: kettlebell, bodyweight, and education – to give you everything you need for your training needs and more. The kettlebell section is subdivided in beginners, intermediate & advanced, with the advanced section subdividing into 3 more sections. The bodyweight section has multiple subcategories offering 2 types of yoga, mobility, flexibility, recovery, movement and Animal Flow. The education section has nutritional advice, coaching on anatomy & physiology, spotlights on exercises, speciality subjects as well as Yoga Athlete principles & philosophy.

About Collette

Collette is biomedical scientist, as well as a qualified nutritionist with a distinction, and of course – a Yoga Athlete! Originally a long distance runner, Collette has competed in many marathons and half marathons, and still runs, even though her focus has shifted to more strength & movement-orientated training. Collette strives for, and exemplifies, one of our core principles, which is to be an unassuming beast – boasting some very impressive numbers such as a 32kg Turkish Get Up at only 50kgs bodyweight.
